Yaquelin works as a cleaning supervisor and her husband is a mechanic. His mother gave him a house and was living there with his family. When he heard about a project of Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic, through through microfinance institution Banco ADEMI ally, he decided to ally themselves with both organizations to build a house.
Yaquelin is happy with the Construction Technical Assistance by engineers Habitat Dominican Republic, and recommended that good quality materials and have supervised the mason in the construction processes.
“I am very grateful that my mother lent me her house, but it makes you feel good when you have something of your own,” says Yaquelin.
The first stage of construction included the shoe and some lines of block. The second stage will include the walls and ceiling.
“Now I feel very happy because the dream of having my own home is finally coming true.” Expresses Yaquelin.
