Decent housing problem

The report on “Social Policies: capacities and rights” indicates that the housing deficit in the Dominican Republic exceeds 1,200,000 housing units. This deficit, about 60% is qualitative. The qualitative housing deficit, ie the amount of inadequate housing is greater than the shortfall of housing (quantitative deficit) in the Dominican Republic. The deficit is growing annually by an average of 50,000 to 60,000 homes per year.
