CONEP and Hábitat Dominicana sign an inter-institutional agreement to promote the development of programs and activities in favor of decent housing

For a family, having decent housing is the basis for building a future.

At the end of last year, the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) and Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic signed an inter-institutional agreement in order to join efforts in favor of low-income people to have adequate housing.

The vision that governs the actions of Habitat coincides with the principles and commitments of the Dominican private sector integrated under the umbrella of CONEP, of solidarity and promotion of sustainable development.

Through this agreement, CONEP and Hábitat Dominicana commit to promoting the development of programs and activities that improve the living conditions of Dominican families in need of housing.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Pedro Brache, president of CONEP until December 2022, and the national director of Habitat Dominicana Ms. Cesarina Fabián, who expressed to those present at the signing of said agreement, how happy the organization felt for the step taken by CONEP and the beautiful work they will carry out together, for the families that need a helping hand to achieve their progress.

Present during the signing were Mr. Cesar Dargam, Executive Vice President of CONEP, Mr. Celso Marranzini, Former President of CONEP, Mr. Alejandro Correa, Director of Administration and Finance, and Ms. Gina Vera, Resource Development and Communications Manager of Dominican Habitat.

Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic, is a non-profit organization with the vision of achieving “a world where everyone has a decent place to live”. This institution has been operating in Dominican territory since 1986 and is present in more than 70 countries.
