Nature Power Foundation and Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic join forces to build sustainable houses

The alliance of these institutions will provide people living in vulnerable and poor conditions worthy houses illuminated with photovoltaic energy

Santo Domingo – The organizations Nature Power Foudation and Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic signed a collaboration agreement to implement development projects and technical assistance for the benefit of vulnerable communities and families and in need of decent and safe housing solutions, prioritizing access to energy and water through solar solutions.

With this agreement, both organizations seek to build sustainable homes that protect the environment to promote the use of clean energy that contributes to reducing the negative impact of climatic shocks, supporting low-income families so that they can develop and progress comprehensively and sustainably, so that they become agents of their own changes and that of their communities.

This action complies with Sustainable Development Goal 17, Partnerships to Achieve Goals, established by the United Nations in favor of countries that require development assistance.

Before signing the agreement, Laura Rojas, executive director of the Nature Power Foundation expressed her satisfaction with this alliance:

“We are happy to bring comprehensive solutions to people living in vulnerable conditions and help them improve their living conditions through solutions sustainable houses that will have permanent light produced by the sun”.

 

Cesarina Fabián, National Director of Habitat for Humanity RD expressed the following:
